FastFacts

  • Insulation blankets designed to shield the exhaust components of diesel and NG engines have been in use for over three decades. When HeatBlocker Ultra Performance Exhaust Insulation protects manifolds, turbo chargers, mufflers, and exhaust piping, hot face temperatures will typically diminish by up to 1,000°F./538°C. Lowering surface temperature decreases the heat load on radiators, while protecting hoses, wiring, and plastic components from deterioration.

  • HeatBlocker products have proven to meet the rigors of prime power/continuous use applications (1,800°F/982°C.) for electric power generation, mining, forestry and oil field users. When installed in marine and motor coach applications, HeatBlocker can significantly reduce the engine heat radiating into sleeping quarters and passenger compartments.
  • Fabrication of HeatBlocker begins with state-of-the-art design technology, practiced by engineers with a combined experience of over thirty-two years in the field. The use of ultra high temperature materials is standard and guarantees that each kit has the durability demanded by major O.E.M.s such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Tamrock/Sandvik mining trucks, Peterson Mfg. chippers, and Toyota forklifts.
  • Each HeatBlocker part is custom engineered to install quickly, both on the assembly line and in the field. Stainless steel and Inconel alloy spring fasteners, not lacing wire, are used for closure--saving up to 75% on installation time. Springs also allow for the easy removal and reinstallation of the blankets during repairs and retrofits.
  • HeatBlocker's hook fasteners are attached to the outer covering only, eliminating hot spots that degrade seams and edges, while preventing the spread of airborne particles. All mesh and inner liners will withstand temperatures to 2,300°F.

Combine all this with our pioneering EdgeGuard construction and you will understand why at HeatBlocker:
